Coronavirus Measures

We are open!

However, in order to protect our customers and staff there are a few adjustments to our normal working practice:

  • All repairs are strictly by appointment only.
  • All visitors are respectfully asked to follow the zero contact procedure below.
  • Our reception is open but please use the key drop box wherever possible.
  • Masks must be worn at all times when entering the reception.
  • Our courtesy car service is suspended.
  • Our customer waiting area and loo are closed.

With the safety of our valued customers and staff very much at the front of our minds we have adopted a new strategy through the current lockdown. From Monday the 16th of November we are asking our lovely customers to only use the reception area when neccessary. We ask that customers use the key drop box when leaving your vehicle for repair.

We will continue to monitor and review this arrangement. We hope to return to normal service as soon as it is safe and wise to do so.

Zero Contact Customer Service

As much as we love you folks, we need to minimise contact time and maintain a minimum 2 metre gap at all times - it's nothing personal!

We currently operating a 'limited reception' policy and ask that you follow the procedure below.

  • We will call you the day before your appointment and check information with you.
  • Please observe the notes on vehicle hygiene below.
  • When dropping your vehicle off, we kindly ask that you place your keys in the secure key drop box (to the right of the reception door) and call reception on 01386 765168.
  • We respectfully request that you leave the premises.
  • On completion of your work we will call you to discuss any findings, take payment over the phone and agree a collection time.
  • Regretfully we can only accept card payments during this period - cash & cheques will not be accepted.
  • If you wish to minimise contact, please call reception on 01386 765168 when you arrive to collect your car and we will bring your sanitised keys out to you. Otherwise, please enter the reception when it is clear to do so.
  • In order to minimise people on-site, please do not arrive to collect your vehicle until we have contacted you.

We know that it's more than a little bit inconvenient but it's only for a month (hopefully) and we feel that the health and safety of everyone at Motorvation is worth the effort.

Vehicle Hygiene

Please remove all unnecessary items from your vehicle interior/boot & ensure that the interior is physically clean. Our staff will apply seat, floor, steering wheel and gear knob covers to your vehicle before driving it. They will also be wearing single use gloves whilst contacting your vehicle and changing them before contacting any alternative vehicles. On top of these measure we will sanitise all door handles, handbrake lever/buttons etc when entering and leaving your vehicle.

Please ensure that your service book & locking wheel nut key (if applicable) are easily accessible - preferably on the passenger seat.

Collection & Delivery

Our collection delivery service is now available. Please contact us for availability and cost.

  • We will call you the day before your appointment to arrange a collection time.
  • Please observe the notes on vehicle hygiene.
  • Please leave your locking wheel nut key and service book on the passenger seat (if applicable).
  • Please remove your car key from your keyring before we arrive.
  • We will call you when we arrive at your address and then stand 2m away from your door.
  • We will ask you to place your vehicle key (just the key, no key fobs etc) on your doorstep without handing it to our driver directly.
  • We then ask you to close the door before collecting the key and taking your vehicle to the workshop.
  • Once repairs are complete we will call you to discuss any findings and take payment over the phone.
  • Regretfully we can only accept card payments during this period - cash & cheques will not be accepted.
  • Your vehicle will then be returned and sanitised before posting/leaving your key in a safe place.
